SSL.com has announced its acquisition of VikingCloud’s digital certificate customer portfolio, a cybersecurity and compliance services provider. The acquisition expands SSL.com’s customer base and brings new users into the company’s infrastructure while maintaining continuity of service throughout the transition.
SSL.com will provide transition guidance to current VikingCloud certificate holders to ensure their accounts are activated within SSL.com’s system. Customers will be able to access SSL.com’s certificate management platform, technical support, and security resources without disruptions. The company emphasized that it has the internal capacity and support infrastructure to handle a seamless migration process.
The acquisition aligns with VikingCloud’s broader strategic goals to invest more heavily in its cybersecurity and compliance programs. This includes its Compliance and Validation Exemption Program (C-VEP), a recently introduced cybersecurity alternative to PCI DSS compliance explicitly designed for small and mid-sized businesses.
For SSL.com, the acquisition supports its long-term growth and reinforces its presence in the global digital certificate ecosystem. Founded in 2002, SSL.com offers digital certificates and PKI solutions to organizations and individuals in over 180 countries, and is recognized for its compliance with WebTrust audits and its participation in the CA/Browser Forum.
