Stan provides tools designed to help Creator-Entrepreneurs build audiences, create content, and earn money online. Its core products include Stan Store, which enables Creators to monetize products directly through their social channels, and Stanley, an AI Head of Content designed to help users develop content ideas and grow their personal brands. Pulse 2.0 interviewed Stan Marketing Lead Lauren Giovannetti to learn more.
Lauren Giovannetti’s Background

When asked about her background, Giovannetti shared:
I’m Lauren Giovannetti, a marketing lead here at Stan. I’ve been immersed in the social media space for five years, starting with coaching Creators on how to turn their viewers into customers and building out their product suites before I moved on to running Creator-focused programs here at Stan.
I now lead marketing for Stanley Short Form, our newest product.
How Stan Started
When asked how the idea for the company came together and about her responsibilities, Giovannetti explained:
The idea for Stan was born when John Hu, our co-founder, five years ago was trying to make his first dollar online. He realized that it was incredibly complicated and expensive to do so, so utilized engineering and product resources to build Stan.
My primary responsibilities have shifted around a lot. Initially, it was to connect with our most successful customers, bring them into our ambassador program, and help them be even more successful with earning money through their store and generating more views through their content.
Then, as the company evolved, my role shifted to overseeing marketing efforts. Now I manage a lot of our content workstreams and our funnel that is built from the short-form content we’re creating all the way to someone deciding to sign up for a trial.
Creator Impact
When asked about her favorite memory working at the company so far, Giovannetti recalled:
I’m about to hit three years at Stan, so there are many amazing memories that come to mind.
One of the coolest memories is that in the summer of 2024, we took our most successful Stan Store ambassadors and Creators to Napa Valley.
It was incredible to hear about how Stan has fundamentally changed their lives, their income, and the way they were able to provide for their family. Stories like that just never get old, and I think that that was probably one of the most memorable weekends that I’ve had here.
Core Products And Features
When asked about the company’s core products and key features, Giovannetti detailed:
So Stan really aims to help Creator-Entrepreneurs at every single point in their journey. Our core product and original set of features, Stan Store, was aimed to help Creators with monetization, ensuring that they had products they could easily set up to earn money directly from their socials.
We noticed, though, that a lot of people had questions and pain points around building out their audience to earn that income. How do you actually get viewers? How do you grow your following? How do you create demand for those products?
That is where we then created Stanley, an AI Head of Content. Stanley helps you brainstorm content ideas that build your personal brand. He (Stanley) gives you new content ideas every day. He understands your goals and he gives you ideas that are designed to go viral and perform.
Those are the two main subsets of Stan: a product for monetization, making money, and then the content ideation and creation, helping you post.
Introducing New Products
When asked about recent challenges and how Stan has navigated them, Giovannetti noted:
There are always challenges, but challenges just serve as an opportunity to learn.
One of the recent learnings has been how we are effectively and gracefully introducing a brand new product to our audience. It’s important to really position it as addressing pain points they’ve expressed needing help with for years, and being able to weave that into a product they are already familiar with.
Technology Evolution
When asked how the company’s technology has evolved since launch, Giovannetti explained:
One of the most notable things is how we are adapting in the age of AI. Ultimately, Stan Store is software, and Stanley is an AI tool, and they operate with very, very different functions. One is a lot more personalized versus the other, which is just a really solid resource.
We’ve evolved a lot in utilizing AI and ensuring that we’re actually effectively helping people with all of their pain points.
Our mission is to empower anyone to be able to work for themselves, and that every single customer who is coming through our door is successful.
We looked at the blockers that are happening between people seeing success and signing up. Again, that content creation piece and knowing how to build an audience kept coming up, which is why we built Stanley, an AI Head of Content, which was a huge evolution for our company.
Major Company Milestones
When asked about some of the company’s most significant milestones, Giovannetti said:
We have helped Creators on our core platform earn half a billion dollars selling their products and doing what they love.
I write this as I have tears in my eyes because of the amount of lives that Stan has changed. People and families have been able to do what they love and chase their dreams by earning this type of income.
Seeing us hit that threshold was one of the most memorable milestones that I have seen here.
I started with this company when we had 3,000 active Stan Store users, and now we have over 85,000. I don’t take that lightly, seeing that evolution in how many people want to work for themselves and build their own dream and are inspired to be an entrepreneur.
Customer Success
When asked to share a notable customer success story, Giovannetti highlighted:
Elly Walton, a 43-year-old Creator-Entrepreneur and former software developer, began using our AI Head of Content, Stanley, after being laid off.
She decided to create content full time and though she had grown her Instagram to 40,000 followers, she hit a creative wall trying to keep up with posting.
By using Stanley, she drove 20M views from one video and gained 80K Instagram followers, all from a single post.
Revenue Growth
When asked about funding and revenue metrics, Giovannetti shared:
Stan has reached $40M in Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR), achieved while building the company entirely in public.
Market Opportunity
When discussing the total addressable market Stan is pursuing, Giovannetti said:
Creators and Entrepreneurs trying to build their personal brand or earn money online.
Competitive Differentiation
When asked what differentiates Stan from its competitors, Giovannetti emphasized:
With Stan Store, something that is unique to us is that we operate from fixed price point tiers. Other companies, you know, you come in at a certain price and you sell a certain number of products, or you get a certain number of leads, and the price goes up.
Those price points never change, which is very unique to Stan Corp.
For Stanley, a way that really differentiates us is that we connect directly with your Instagram, LinkedIn, and X accounts, so traditional AI tools that you need to spend a lot of time training, you don’t need to do that with Stanley.
Future Goals
When discussing the company’s future goals, Giovannetti concluded:
To be a one-stop shop for any Creator or Entrepreneur to make content and earn a living doing what they love.
