Standard Metrics has raised $20 million in Series B funding led by 8VC as the AI-driven portfolio management platform expands its technology for venture capital and private equity firms. Salesforce Ventures, Spark Capital, January Capital, First Trust Capital Partners, Socii Capital, Kindergarten Ventures, Calm Ventures and Gaingels also participated.
Standard Metrics launched in 2020 to improve investor relations and portfolio reporting across private markets.
Its platform has evolved into a centralized system for portfolio performance and investment data, combining automated data ingestion with AI-powered analysis and reporting.
VC and private equity firms use the technology for portfolio reviews, valuations, LP reporting and due diligence.
Standard Metrics has also introduced AI document parsing, an on-platform AI Analyst, MCP interoperability and AI-native services for portfolio analytics and data operations.
The company says its business has grown approximately 20 times since its Series A.
Standard Metrics now supports more than 10,000 portfolio companies and 150 investment firms collectively managing more than $400 billion in assets.
The company also said 30% of investors appearing on the current Forbes Midas List are Standard Metrics customers.
Proceeds from the Series B will be used to expand AI capabilities, grow the team and bring the platform to additional private-market investors and portfolio companies.
8VC, which led the round, manages more than $9 billion in committed capital.
