Standard Template Labs, an AI-first service management platform, announced its launch alongside a $49 million seed funding round co-led by ICONIQ and CRV. The company aims to transform IT service management by building a platform that automates end-to-end enterprise IT operations.
The platform is designed to address the growing complexity of enterprise IT environments, where service requests often involve fragmented systems, multiple approvals, and cross-team coordination. Standard Template Labs uses AI to interpret requests, orchestrate workflows, and resolve issues by leveraging a continuously updated “digital twin” of the enterprise that maps relationships among users, systems, services, and policies.
By grounding decisions in this dynamic model, the platform aims to reduce resolution times from days to minutes, allowing IT teams to focus on higher-value work rather than manual coordination and ticket management.
The company was founded by Amit Agarwal, who previously spent more than 13 years at Datadog, serving as President and Chief Product Officer and helping scale the company into a global software leader. Standard Template Labs was incubated within ICONIQ, marking the firm’s first.
The founding team includes engineers and operators from companies such as Datadog, Amazon, Meta, NVIDIA, and Bloomberg, combining enterprise software experience with AI-native development expertise.
With the new funding, the company plans to invest in hiring, product development, and early deployments. It is currently working with enterprise design partners across IT, security, engineering, and shared services teams.
