Stifel Hires 4 Wirehouse Advisors Overseeing About $418 Million

Full-service brokerage and investment banking firm Stifel recently hired four warehouse advisors who oversee a total of about $418 million in client assets, according to OnWallSt. The new hires include Jim McLendon, father-son team Joseph Moceri and Paul Joseph Moceri, and Michael Lieberman.

McLendon used to work at Wells Fargo and he joined Stifel in Atlanta this month. Father-son team Joseph P. Moceri and Paul Joseph Moceri are joining Stifel in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan after working at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management. And Michael Lieberman is moving from Morgan Stanley to Stifel in Florham Park, New Jersey.

Stifel has been improving its platform and culture in order to appeal to the new hires. Last month, Stifel hired two advisors overseeing $585 million in client assets from Merrill Lynch: Kevin Maxim and Jeff Wells. Marie Steinman also recently joined Stifel from Merrill Lynch in LA and oversaw $232 million in client assets. Plus Stifel hired Mike Reimer from Morgan Stanley, who was overseeing $200 million in client assets.

McLendon has been working in the industry for about 26 years and it was primarily spent at Wells Fargo. Initially, he started at Wachovia Securities. And Lieberman has been in the industry for 34 years.

Joseph Moceri has been in the industry for 38 years, mostly at Merrill Lynch. And Paul Moceri has worked in the industry for about 14 years.

The Moceris are going to be temporarily based out of Bloomfield Hills until Stifel opens a new Private Client Group office in Rochester, Michigan.
