Stonepeak and Energy Equation Partners (EEP) announced an agreement to acquire Anwim, Poland’s largest independent fuel marketer and owner of the MOYA fuel station network.
The transaction expands the firms’ European fuel retail joint venture following their acquisition of a majority stake in JET Tankstellen Deutschland, a fuel retailer operating in Germany and Austria, in December 2025.
Anwim operates as a nationwide retail and wholesale fuel distributor in Poland. The company is the country’s third-largest and fastest-growing fuel station chain, with more than 540 MOYA stations and annual fuel volumes of approximately 3 billion liters. Anwim also has access to Poland’s fuel logistics infrastructure, enabling both domestic sourcing and imports to serve retail consumers and commercial customers.
Stonepeak and EEP said they see opportunities to leverage their expertise in energy infrastructure, fuel retailing, and e-mobility, while sharing operational best practices with JET to strengthen the MOYA brand and expand its market position.
EEP said the acquisition supports its strategy of building a leading independent multi-energy platform across Europe and sees opportunities to create synergies in operations, e-mobility, and customer services.
Anwim CEO Rafał Pietrasina said the company has undergone significant growth and transformation in recent years and has expanded beyond fuel import, wholesale, and retail into e-mobility and energy transition-related businesses.
The transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2026, subject to customary conditions and regulatory approvals.
Founded more than 30 years ago, Anwim handles approximately 3 billion liters of fuel annually and operates over 540 MOYA stations across Poland. The company has also expanded into businesses associated with e-mobility and the energy transition.
Stonepeak manages approximately $88 billion in assets and invests in infrastructure and real assets across sectors including digital infrastructure, energy and energy transition, transportation and logistics, and real estate.
Energy Equation Partners is an energy-focused investment firm whose principals have deployed more than $10 billion of equity capital globally and have extensive experience in fuel retail and energy infrastructure.
