Stora Enso has appointed Niclas Rosenlew as deputy CEO in addition to his existing responsibilities as chief financial officer.
The appointment took effect on September 17, 2026. Rosenlew will serve as deputy to President and CEO Hans Sohlström while continuing as a member of Stora Enso’s Group Leadership Team.
Sohlström will remain president and CEO. The company said the expanded role reflects the close partnership between the two executives and is intended to strengthen engagement with customers, partners, investors and other stakeholders while maintaining focus on strategy execution.
Stora Enso develops renewable packaging materials and other fiber-based products designed to replace nonrenewable materials. The company employs approximately 19,000 people and reported €9.3 billion in sales during 2025.
