Strategy announced it has acquired 34,164 bitcoin for approximately $2.54 billion, increasing its total holdings to 815,061 BTC and reinforcing its position as the largest corporate holder of the digital asset.

The purchase, executed between April 13 and April 19, 2026, was made at an average price of approximately $74,395 per bitcoin. Following the transaction, Strategy’s total bitcoin holdings were acquired for roughly $61.56 billion at an average price of about $75,527 per coin.

The latest acquisition marks one of the company’s largest bitcoin purchases to date and pushes its holdings past the 800,000 BTC milestone, a first for any corporation.

Strategy continues to fund its bitcoin accumulation strategy through capital markets activity, including the issuance of preferred stock and common equity. The majority of proceeds for the latest purchase were generated through its STRC preferred stock program, supplemented by sales of Class A common shares.

The company’s aggressive accumulation strategy underscores its long-term conviction in bitcoin as a core treasury asset, as well as broader institutional adoption trends. Strategy now controls roughly 4% of bitcoin’s total supply, highlighting the scale of its balance sheet exposure to the cryptocurrency.

The move also reflects an acceleration in buying activity, with the company making multiple large purchases in recent weeks as it continues to deploy capital into bitcoin amid evolving market conditions.
