Strickoff Financial Services, led by Kive Strickoff, CPA, AIF, has joined the branch channel of Ameriprise Financial from Commonwealth Financial Network, bringing nearly $140 million in client assets to the firm.

Strickoff, along with longtime client service associates Rhonda Sossner and Colleen Barbato, joined The Atlantic Group, an established Ameriprise advisory practice based in Boca Raton, Florida, led by founding partners Andrew Lerner and Logan Shalmi.

According to Ameriprise, the transition was facilitated through the company’s External Practice Acquisition Program, which helps advisors identify succession, acquisition, and partnership opportunities aligned with their business goals and client service philosophies.

Ameriprise leadership introduced Strickoff to multiple advisory teams during the evaluation process, with The Atlantic Group ultimately selected as the preferred fit for Strickoff’s practice and clients.

Strickoff said the move was driven by a desire to align with a larger organization and advisory team capable of supporting long-term continuity and enhanced client service.

The Atlantic Group itself transitioned from Oppenheimer to Ameriprise in October 2025. The practice now includes 11 financial advisors and nine support staff members managing more than $1.8 billion in combined client assets.

Ameriprise stated that approximately 1,700 experienced financial advisors have joined the firm over the past five years.
