Studiosity has announced the acquisition of Norvalid, expanding its research-supported learning and writing support platform with new student authorship validation capabilities. The acquisition introduces a validation-focused approach that offers educational institutions an alternative to punitive AI detection measures, supporting student development in critical thinking and communication skills.
Norvalid provides institutions with authorship validation technology that includes digital linguistic fingerprinting and confirmation tools tailored to each student and their respective submissions. This aligns with Studiosity’s approach of helping students strengthen their capabilities while providing educators with secure and reliable methods to confirm authentic work. Rather than relying on minimally constrained AI models that can allow students to bypass the learning process, Studiosity’s model reinforces skill development and ensures assessment integrity.
Studiosity partners with hundreds of higher education institutions worldwide and supports over 1.5 million students. The acquisition marks a significant shift in the way institutions can approach learning validation as the education sector navigates the widespread integration of generative AI.
Current Studiosity partners will be prioritized in the deployment of the integrated solution through an Early Access Program scheduled for the first quarter of 2026. Academic stakeholders across multiple regions will also be involved through product advisory groups to help shape the implementation in diverse educational environments.
The transaction is subject to standard closing processes and is expected to be completed by December 1, 2025.
