Sullivan & Cromwell is adding partners Aprajita Dhundia and Ian Ferreira to its London office as the firm continues to build out private capital capabilities in the market and position London as a key hub for global client work. The firm said the hires are aimed at strengthening its private equity, M&A and tax bench for financial sponsor clients executing increasingly complex cross-border transactions.
Dhundia is set to join Sullivan & Cromwell’s Private Equity and M&A practices. The firm described her as a leading private equity lawyer recognized by major legal publications and directories, with experience advising private equity sponsors and portfolio companies on a wide range of corporate transactions, including complex acquisitions and divestitures across multiple industries.
Ferreira will join the firm’s Tax Group. And the firm said he is recognized as a leading transactional tax adviser in Europe, with experience spanning private equity and debt markets. The firm added that his work includes advising financial sponsors and investors on UK and international tax matters tied to private equity, M&A, funds and complex restructurings.
The London additions come as Sullivan & Cromwell continues to emphasize scale and integrated execution across its private capital platform. The firm said its private equity practice represents many of the world’s leading sponsors and private capital investors on complex transactions globally, and noted Mergermarket data showing the firm had the largest average deal size for completed European private equity transactions in 2024 at $2.3 billion. Sullivan & Cromwell also highlighted the breadth of its M&A practice, citing LSEG data that it has advised on more than $2.6 trillion in domestic and cross-border transactions over the past five years.
