Summit Financial has added Kamal Capital Group and M Group Investment Advisor to its national wealth management platform, bringing approximately $520 million in combined client assets. The partnerships increase Summit’s total number of advisory firm relationships to 65 and establish the company’s first presence in Georgia and Oregon. They also expand Summit’s footprint across Michigan, Florida and Washington.
Kamal Capital Group manages approximately $170 million in assets and operates offices in Michigan and Georgia.
Founded in 1984, the firm initially specialized in retirement planning for airline pilots before expanding its services to aviation professionals, corporate executives and ultra-high-net-worth families.
The practice is led by Chief Investment Officer and Managing Partner Danny Kamal and Chief Operating Officer and Managing Partner Rob Kamal.
Kamal Capital Group now provides comprehensive family office services while maintaining a specialized focus on clients connected to the aviation industry.
M Group Investment Advisor oversees approximately $350 million in assets and is headquartered in Florida, with additional offices in Oregon and Washington.
The firm primarily serves non-union construction companies that work on government projects. Retirement planning represents the largest component of its business, complemented by investment management and insurance strategies.
M Group emphasizes adviser independence, transparency and personalized service. Its investment adviser representatives include John Marcelia and Ed Leeper.
Through the partnerships, both firms will gain access to SummitVantage, Summit Financial’s integrated advisory platform.
SummitVantage includes financial planning, investment and tax specialists, along with institutional-quality investment resources, technology and operational support.
The platform is designed to help independent advisory firms manage increasingly complex planning requirements for high-net-worth and multigenerational families while improving operating efficiency and the client experience.
Summit said the partnerships reflect increasing demand among independent advisers for the resources of a larger institutional platform without giving up control over investment decisions or client relationships.
Kamal Capital Group expects Summit’s planning tools and broader infrastructure to help it scale while preserving its specialized service model.
M Group expects to maintain its independent approach while gaining additional investment capabilities, technology and operational support.
The two additions also reflect Summit’s strategy of partnering with advisory businesses that have established client relationships, specialized expertise and plans for continued growth.
Summit Financial has more than 40 years of experience supporting financial advisers and provides access to capital, technology, planning resources and business development capabilities.
Summit Financial LLC is an SEC-registered investment adviser wholly owned by Summit Financial Holdings.
