SuperAwesome, which provides data, technology, and services that help brands safely engage Gen Alpha and Gen Z, said it has acquired Starglow Media, an independent kids and family audio content ecosystem with more than 120 million annual listens across 45-plus shows.
The transaction marks SuperAwesome’s first acquisition since its management buyout from Epic Games and is positioned as a strategic move into audio, a fast-growing and trusted channel for reaching youth and family audiences.
SuperAwesome said the deal adds audio to its cross-channel offering, which spans gaming, creators, YouTube, mobile games, and connected TV. The combined platform is expected to give brands a way to plan and measure youth engagement across formats using consistent audience intelligence and a privacy-first infrastructure.
Starglow Media, launched in 2023, has built a portfolio that includes licensed properties such as Paramount’s Blue’s Clues and Dora the Explorer, as well as original programming, including Mysteries About True Histories. The company has also worked with major entertainment and consumer brand,s including Disney, Netflix, Toyota, Hasbro, Paramount, and Penguin Random House.
SuperAwesome and Starglow also pointed to shifting family media habits as a driver of the acquisition, citing rising demand for screen-free content and the value of co-listening, which can reach parents and kids at the same time. The companies said co-listening formats such as family podcasts have become an effective environment for brand messaging, given the trust audiences place in familiar hosts and programming.
Beyond advertising, SuperAwesome said the acquisition is intended to strengthen monetization opportunities for content owners and IP holders. The company argued that many kids and family properties struggle to achieve sufficient standalone scale in audio to attract consistent ad investment, and that combining supply and demand within a consolidated, brand-safe marketplace can help address that gap.
As part of the integration, Starglow founder and CEO Jed Baker will join SuperAwesome as head of audio. Agerenesh “Aggi” Ashagre Palmer will lead audio operations, with SuperAwesome framing the appointments as steps to maintain partner continuity while accelerating growth in the combined business.
SuperAwesome was founded in 2013 and said it works with hundreds of brands, creators, and content owners to support youth-focused digital engagement. Starglow will operate as a SuperAwesome company focused on delivering kids and family audio content and enabling brand access to curated, trusted programming.
