Superior Environmental Solutions announced it has acquired ChemWorx, a Decatur, Alabama-based provider of specialized chemical cleaning services, expanding its technical capabilities and regional footprint across the Southeast. The transaction represents the company’s sixth acquisition since May 2024 and its 12th overall.
The deal adds chemical cleaning and fin fan foaming services to SES’s portfolio of industrial and environmental offerings. The combined platform will provide core and specialty industrial services to ChemWorx customers in Alabama, Tennessee, and Louisiana, while maintaining existing safety and service standards.
Founded in 2020 and headquartered in Decatur, Alabama, ChemWorx is known for executing high-complexity chemical cleaning work designed to support safe operations, improve uptime, and enhance facility reliability. The company offers services including heat exchanger and boiler chemical cleaning, fin fan foaming, chemical degassing and degreasing, and reactive and non-reactive chemistry applications. Its customer base spans chemical, refining, and broader industrial markets across the Midwest, South, and Southeast.
By integrating ChemWorx’s capabilities, SES expands its ability to service critical industrial assets such as heat exchangers, boilers, reactor jackets, and fin fans. The combined entity will deliver high-pressure water jetting, vacuum equipment services, automated services, tank cleaning, and other technical offerings as part of a more comprehensive industrial services platform.
Founded in 1999, Superior Environmental Solutions provides mission-critical, non-discretionary environmental and industrial services. The company is a portfolio company of Palladium Equity Partners. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Keating Muething & Klekamp PLL served as legal advisor to SES.
