Sverica Capital Management LP announced that its Fund V portfolio company, Defy Security, LLC, has entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by Booz Allen Hamilton. The transaction follows a five-year partnership between Sverica and Defy and is expected to close in the second quarter of the Company’s fiscal year 2026, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals.
Founded in 2017 by Justin Domachowski, Defy Security was established to improve the cybersecurity buying experience by delivering high-touch value and service. The company provides cybersecurity technology products and services to hundreds of enterprise clients and has formed partnerships with more than 400 cybersecurity vendors since inception.
Sverica initially invested in Defy in November 2020. During its ownership period, the company tripled in size while maintaining strong profitability. Defy expanded into the West and Central regions of the United States while strengthening its presence in the East, built a scalable talent engine, enhanced its technical advisory services practice, standardized its go-to-market strategy, and invested significantly in its executive leadership team.
Sverica said the sale represents the culmination of a successful collaboration aimed at positioning Defy as a leading national provider of end-to-end cybersecurity solutions.
