S’well — the company known for pioneering the fashion hydration accessory — recently launched vacuum-insulated food containers: S’well Eats and S’nack by S’well.
S’well Eats integrates signature S’well patterns with unique product design to provide versatile performance and convenience for consumers looking to eat on the go while using less single-use plastic. The containers are made with triple-layer insulation and food-grade stainless steel to keep food hot or cold for longer periods of time. And the microwavable and freezer-friendly interior prep bowl nests neatly inside for leak-proof travel and added versatility in use.
The food containers are durable, dishwasher-safe, and come in five designs and colors. And they are available in 21.5-ounce/16-ounce and 14-ounce/10-ounce sizes.
“When S’well launched in 2010, it was with a mission to rid the world of plastic bottles by developing a reusable bottle that worked harder and looked better than anything else on the market,” said S’well founder and CEO Sarah Kauss in a statement. “Our mission continues to expand with our foray into the food category, allowing us to offer consumers more ways to enjoy an active lifestyle, while helping minimize single-use plastic consumption.”
Plus S’well is extending the whimsy of S’ip by S’well hydration accessories by launching S’nack by S’well – which are tote-able food containers for snacks, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. S’nack by S’well is available in a 24-ounce size with a fold-down handle and a 10-ounce size that nests neatly inside the larger container for easy storage. S’nack by S’well containers come in 11 different colors and designs.
“When we first decided to explore food concepts, the design team set out to understand who would be the primary consumers, and in what ways they might benefit from an insulated food container. We discovered that on-the-go food needs vary across a few common experiences: work, school, recreation, travel and events. Across these scenarios, four key needs kept surfacing during our research, particularly for the daily work commuter: leak-proof, easy to fill and eat from, microwavable and dishwasher-safe,” added S’well’s product designer director Clay Burns. “We also discovered that many of the existing vacuum-insulated ‘food jars’ fell short on these needs due to their tall narrow shape and metal-only construction. Instead of simply making a S’well branded food jar, we decided to try to challenge the market with something innovative.”
