SwiftComply Acquires ComplianceGo To Expand Stormwater Compliance Platform For Municipal Utilities

By Amit Chowdhry ● Today at 3:33 PM

SwiftComply, a software platform focused on water compliance, announced the acquisition of ComplianceGo, a provider of stormwater compliance software, as the company continues to expand its offerings for municipal water utilities across North America.

The acquisition follows SwiftComply’s 2025 purchase of CloudCompli and further strengthens its position in the stormwater compliance market. The company said the transaction advances its strategy of consolidating multiple water compliance functions into a single platform used by municipal utilities.

Water utilities face growing regulatory requirements, including increased Environmental Protection Agency oversight, more stringent Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) permit conditions, and emerging PFAS source control mandates that require greater coordination between stormwater and pretreatment programs. SwiftComply said many organizations continue to manage these responsibilities through manual processes or disconnected systems, creating inefficiencies and data silos.

ComplianceGo’s software is used by stormwater compliance professionals to manage inspections, enforcement activities, reporting requirements, and overall program administration. The addition of ComplianceGo expands SwiftComply’s capabilities across stormwater compliance while complementing its existing offerings for fats, oils and grease (FOG), backflow prevention, industrial pretreatment, and stormwater programs.

The combined company now serves more than 700 customers across North America.

The acquisition builds on momentum generated by SwiftComply’s strategic growth investment from M33 Growth and represents another step in the company’s expansion strategy. SwiftComply said ComplianceGo customers will continue using their existing software without interruption while gaining access to the resources and product development capabilities of the larger organization.

The company expects the combined platform to help municipalities modernize compliance operations, reduce administrative workloads, improve data management, and support environmental compliance objectives.

SwiftComply is headquartered in Pleasanton, California, and provides software solutions designed to modernize compliance and communication processes across the water and wastewater sectors.

KEY QUOTES:

“I spent years as a wastewater engineer living the exact problem we’re now solving — compliance scattered across spreadsheets, disconnected tools, and manual processes that couldn’t keep up with the regulations. Stormwater is the fastest-moving regulatory space in water compliance right now, and our customers need technology that moves as fast as the rules do. Bringing ComplianceGo into SwiftComply is the next step in building the platform I wished I’d had — one that lets utilities run every compliance program in one place.”

Mick O’Dwyer, Founder And CEO, SwiftComply

“When we built ComplianceGo, our goal was to give compliance professionals tools that actually fit the way they work. SwiftComply shares that same commitment to building purpose-built software for the people who keep our communities clean and safe. Joining forces means we can deliver even more value to our customers and accelerate the kind of innovation that moves the entire industry forward.”
