SwiftConnect – a leading provider of connected access enablement – recently announced the successful closing of an oversubscribed funding of $10 million. The new funding round fuels SwiftConnect’s continued growth and validated strong investor confidence in its accelerated market traction.
Both new and existing investors support the funding round. Plus, the latest funding round, priced more than the previous round’s, increased SwiftConnect’s total funding to nearly $40 million.
SwiftConnect plans to use the additional funding to extend its global footprint and expand its customer experience teams with its rapidly growing portfolio of major enterprises and trophy buildings. So far, SwiftConnect’s seamless mobile-based NFC solution lives in more than 80 million square feet of commercial real estate space across dozens of commercial real estate buildings and enterprises. And the company’s current customer base represents a potential opportunity of over 750 million square feet of office space and more than one million users. With this growth, including associated revenue and expense expectations, the company does not expect a need to raise further capital unless additional strategic opportunities present themselves.
SwiftConnect was the first to deploy NFC mobile credentials for connected access at Silverstein’s iconic 7 World Trade Center in New York City. And a number of commercial real estate and enterprise customers have rapidly followed, including one of the largest global financial services companies with approximately 75,000 employees in nearly 50 countries, a major biopharmaceutical company with over 80,000 employees in over 180 countries, and a market leader in enterprise application software with over 100,000 employees across 150 countries.
SwiftConnect was also named the Emerging Startup Grand Prize Winner in the prestigious Real Estate Tech Awards (RETAs). This recognition highlights the burgeoning industry category of connected access enablement, created and led by SwiftConnect.
