Sylebra Capital Management has completed the first closing of its inaugural Sylebra Equity Capital Solutions Fund with $277 million in commitments. Funds managed by Apollo served as the anchor investor.

The new strategy will pursue growth private equity investments and customized equity financing solutions for private and publicly traded companies worldwide.

Sylebra plans to focus primarily on high-growth businesses operating in technology and technology-enabled sectors.

The firm intends to make long-term investments in partnership with founders and management teams and provide flexible capital structures designed around the needs of individual companies.

Sylebra is targeting a final closing for the fund during the first half of 2027.

The strategy builds on the firm’s experience investing in small and midsized technology, media and telecommunications companies through its hedge fund business, which was launched in 2011.

Sylebra also appointed Karan Saraf as a partner and core member of the new fund’s investment team.

Saraf brings more than 20 years of private equity, capital markets and financial services experience. He most recently led investments in AvePoint, Tuya and TDConnex at 65 Equity Partners and previously worked at CPP Investments and KKR.

Sylebra was founded by former Coatue Management partner Dan Gibson and is headquartered in Palo Alto, California.

KEY QUOTE:
