Synera announced the close of a $40 million (€35 million) Series B financing round to accelerate global expansion and scale its agentic AI platform for industrial engineering.
The round was led by Revaia, with participation from Capgemini through ISAI Cap Venture, as well as existing investors including UVC Partners, BMW iVentures, Cherry Ventures, Venture Stars, and Spark Capital.
Synera’s platform is designed to orchestrate the full engineering value chain by integrating with more than 80 hardware engineering tools, enabling AI agents to autonomously execute complex workflows across product design, simulation, and optimization. The system operates securely on-premise, allowing companies to deploy AI without disrupting existing infrastructure or exposing sensitive intellectual property.
The company is targeting a major gap between AI investment and real-world application in manufacturing, where many AI initiatives fail to reach production. By enabling automation across fragmented engineering systems, Synera aims to improve productivity, reduce material usage, and accelerate development cycles.
The platform has already been adopted by major global organizations including NASA, BMW, Airbus, Volvo Trucks, and Hyundai, and is now used by more than 60 enterprise customers across 15 countries.
The new funding will support Synera’s expansion across the United States, Europe, and Asia-Pacific, as the company seeks to establish itself as a category leader in AI-driven engineering and product development.
KEY QUOTES:
“Engineering is the backbone of every industrial company, but remains one of the least digitized and automated functions that was, until recently, largely inaccessible to AI. This funding enables us to deliver a fundamentally new mode of engineering, where AI agents operate as true digital engineers, executing complex workflows across the entire value chain.”
Dr. Moritz Maier, Chief Executive Officer, Synera
“Synera’s agentic platform demonstrates how AI can fundamentally reshape product development. Through our collaboration, we are creating solutions that meaningfully reduce workload for our engineers while unlocking new innovation potential.”
Julien Hohenstein, Vice President Of Artificial Intelligence, BMW
“Synera represents a new category of enterprise software where AI agents can operate as part of the organization itself. The platform’s end-to-end orchestration delivers a measurable impact on speed, cost, and resource efficiency.”
Jérémie Falzone, Partner, Revaia
