Synteq has appointed Eric Yingling as Chief Executive Officer as the cloud infrastructure provider seeks to develop into a larger enterprise computing platform. Yingling’s appointment became effective July 1, 2026. He also joined Synteq’s board of directors.
He succeeds co-founder Taras Kulyk, who has transitioned into the position of Chief Development Officer.
Yingling previously served as Synteq’s Vice President of High-Performance Computing, leading its cloud compute division.
He joined the company through its acquisition of Crunchbits, the infrastructure business he founded in 2017.
Crunchbits developed services across virtual private servers, dedicated servers and graphics processing unit computing.
Its intellectual property and operational systems have since become the foundation of Synteq’s cloud compute offering.
As CEO, Yingling will oversee Synteq’s transition from a fast-growing hardware and infrastructure company into what the board intends to build as a category-defining enterprise cloud platform.
His experience includes hardware, engineering, cloud deployment and operations across different layers of computing infrastructure.
Synteq Board Chair Jaime Leverton said Yingling was selected because he combines technical knowledge with the operational discipline required for the company’s next phase.
Kulyk said Yingling had influenced Synteq’s broader direction from the time the company acquired Crunchbits.
Synteq provides computing capacity, bare-metal servers and virtualized infrastructure to enterprises, researchers and software developers.
Bare-metal infrastructure gives customers access to physical servers rather than dividing the hardware among several virtual users. This can provide greater performance, control and predictability for demanding workloads.
The company operates its own network and maintains infrastructure across multiple sites.
Synteq combines cloud computing, storage, virtualization and enterprise infrastructure with an emphasis on price-performance.
