System One has acquired Global Management Partners, a provider of capital project planning and consulting services, expanding its critical infrastructure capabilities across data centers, advanced manufacturing, energy and energy transition, and process and industrial markets.
GMP provides front-end project planning, project development, engineering, procurement, project and construction management, and project delivery services. For more than a decade, its project managers, construction managers, and engineers have worked with owners on concept development, feasibility, project definition, planning, and execution support.
The company will operate as a System One business and align with System One’s critical infrastructure sector. Price Howard, GMP’s current owner, will remain in place as president. System One said the combination allows it to pair early-stage project planning and owner-side consulting with specialized technical staffing and project-based talent resources used later in the project lifecycle.
GMP was founded in 2012 and is headquartered in Greer, South Carolina, with an additional office in Houston. Its customers operate across data-center and advanced-manufacturing projects, energy and energy-transition developments, and process and industrial facilities.
System One provides technical outsourced services and workforce solutions across critical infrastructure, technology, clinical and science, and government markets. Founded more than 40 years ago, the company operates from more than 50 locations and employs more than 10,000 professionals across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Brazil. Management sees GMP as a complementary front-end planning capability that can help customers move projects from strategy through delivery using one broader partner.
The announcement also reflects a broader effort to scale the core business while preserving the operating capabilities, customer relationships, and market expertise already in place. Management’s near-term focus is executing the transaction or growth plan described above, integrating the relevant teams and technology, and continuing to invest in the products and services that support existing customers. The next phase will focus on execution, continuity for customers and partners, and scaling the core platform described in the announcement.
