TAG Invest Surpasses $2 Billion AUM After 60% Growth

TAG Advisors announced that TAG Invest, its in-house asset management platform, has surpassed $2 billion in assets under management after growing more than 60% in less than a year.

The platform had approximately $1.25 billion in AUM as of September 2025. Its latest growth puts TAG Invest ahead of schedule toward its goal of reaching $3 billion in assets under management by the end of 2027.

TAG Invest was launched in 2022 to provide advisors affiliated with TAG with customized, tax-optimized portfolio construction and investment management without layered fees.

Use of the platform is optional for TAG advisors, reflecting the firm’s open-architecture independent model.

TAG Advisors said it created the platform to address the tradeoff advisors often face between using standardized third-party investment models and spending substantial amounts of time constructing and managing portfolios themselves.

TAG Invest instead provides access to an internal investment team that works directly with advisors on a case-by-case basis to build customized portfolios.

The platform uses TAG’s proprietary Investment Construction methodology, which is designed to remove intermediaries, reduce costs and support customized investment strategies at scale.

Portfolio construction begins with each client’s risk profile and cash-flow requirements. TAG Invest then develops asset allocations using a combination of low-cost index funds in markets it considers historically efficient and active management in areas where the firm believes research can create additional value.

Allocations and individual securities are reviewed by an investment committee made up of CFA charterholders. Portfolios can also incorporate existing client holdings, with tax considerations applied throughout construction and implementation.

TAG Invest also offers separately managed account capabilities and access to structured notes, with pricing supported by the scale of TAG’s broader advisor network.

The asset management platform is central to TAG Advisors’ Enterprise OSJ model.

TAG’s national network includes more than 450 financial professionals advising on more than $24 billion in assets under advisement. The organization provides infrastructure and services spanning investment management, retirement plans, insurance, technology and succession planning while allowing advisors to maintain ownership and independence over their individual practices.

TAG Advisors is affiliated with Cambridge Investment Research.

KEY QUOTES:

“We launched TAG Invest to close a gap that was holding our advisors back, expensive one-size-fits-all models on one side, time-consuming individual portfolio construction on the other. By building an in-house investment team that works with advisors case by case, we moved beyond the TAMP model and made customization something we can deliver at scale. Growing 60% in less than a year tells us it was the right decision.”

Gregory Raines, CEO Of TAG Advisors

“Portfolio construction is not where an advisor’s time is best spent. The research is consistent that the value clients feel comes from planning, tax strategy and keeping them invested when markets get difficult. Our job is to take construction and monitoring off their desk so they can do that work.”

Jasen Dahm, Managing Director Of TAG Invest
