Talica has acquired Hard Anodize, a Minneapolis-area provider of precision aluminum anodizing and specialized surface treatments for aerospace, defense, medical device and other high-performance manufacturing markets. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Hard Anodize has operated for more than 30 years and provides technical metal finishing services for mission-critical components where precision, quality and performance requirements are particularly demanding.
The company operates under an AS9100-certified quality management system and ISO 9001 certification and holds NADCAP process approvals supporting commercial aerospace and defense programs.
Its capabilities include Type II anodizing, Type III hard anodizing, Type I chromate conversion coating, Type II RoHS-compliant conversion coating, precision masking and surface treatments for mission-critical hardware.
Hard Anodize complements Talica’s existing expertise in passivation, electropolishing, precision cleaning and other specialized surface treatment processes.
The acquisition also expands Talica’s geographic presence into the Upper Midwest.
The combined organization will serve customers across aerospace, defense, medical devices, semiconductors, pharmaceuticals and other precision manufacturing industries.
Talica was established in 2025 and is backed by JLL Partners.
The company is building a national surface science technology platform by acquiring specialized businesses serving highly regulated and performance-critical industries.
