Talkspace’s Payor business continued to become a larger driver of its virtual behavioral healthcare platform during the second quarter of 2026, with Payor revenue increasing 27.1% to $51.5 million as the number of health plan customers increased 25.8%.
Total Q2 revenue increased 13.6% year-over-year to $61.7 million. Payor revenue contributed $11 million of incremental revenue and accounted for most of the company’s growth during the period.
Completed Payor sessions increased 23% during Q2, while unique active Payor members increased 18.3%. For the first six months of 2026, clinicians completed approximately 933,000 Payor sessions compared with 735,100 a year earlier, an increase of approximately 27%.
The Payor expansion is occurring alongside a deliberate pullback in Talkspace’s direct consumer business. Consumer subscription revenue declined 25.4% to $3.3 million during Q2 as Consumer active members fell approximately 24%. Talkspace said the decline reflects its strategic decision to optimize marketing efforts toward attracting Payor members.
Direct-to-Enterprise revenue declined 26.8% to $6.9 million, reflecting the timing of contract milestones and an 8.5% reduction in the enterprise customer base. Overall, Talkspace said its revenue growth has increasingly been volume-driven and reflects a shift in business mix toward Payor.
The operating shift is taking place ahead of Talkspace’s pending acquisition by Universal Health Services. Talkspace entered into a definitive merger agreement in March under which each eligible outstanding share is expected to be converted into the right to receive $5.25 in cash. Shareholders approved the transaction in May, and the company expects the merger to close during the third quarter of 2026, subject to remaining conditions.
Following the closing, Talkspace would become a wholly owned UHS subsidiary and would be delisted from Nasdaq.
Talkspace is also expanding its use of artificial intelligence through Sentia AI, its wholly owned AI subsidiary. Sentia’s behavioral-health-focused large language model was trained using clinical data from millions of patient journeys and powers Tee, Talkspace’s new AI mental wellness guide.
