By Amit Chowdhry • Jul 17, 2025

Talos, a provider of institutional trading and portfolio technology for digital assets, is set to acquire Coin Metrics, a leading provider of crypto financial intelligence. This merger will combine Coin Metrics’ extensive market data and analytics with Talos’s order and execution management system, creating the industry’s first integrated data and investment management platform.

This acquisition aligns with Talos’s goal of offering a comprehensive solution for institutional trading workflows. By leveraging their complementary services, clients will gain access to advanced portfolio analytics, sophisticated risk monitoring, premium indexes, and top execution capabilities.

Based in Boston, Coin Metrics will benefit from Talos’s global presence, which includes offices in New York, London, Cyprus, and Singapore, serving clients in 32 countries. This will be Talos’s largest acquisition to date, following recent purchases that enhanced its portfolio management capabilities through partnerships with Cloudwall, Skolem, and D3X Systems.
