Tandem Health has raised $100 million in Series B funding led by the Scaleup Europe Fund managed by EQT, bringing the European healthcare AI company’s total funding to $160 million. Existing investors Kinnevik, Northzone, Amino Collective and Visionaries also participated in the round. The financing follows Tandem’s $50 million Series A in 2025 and represents the Scaleup Europe Fund’s first investment in a healthcare AI company.
Tandem plans to use the funding to accelerate the adoption of artificial intelligence across European healthcare, expand its presence in existing markets and evolve its product from an AI Medical Assistant into a broader AI-native Clinic Operating System.
The company currently serves more than 10,000 care organizations across 14 European markets.
Tandem’s AI Medical Assistant supports clinicians before, during and after patient visits. The platform can prepare patient summaries ahead of appointments, provide clinical decision support during consultations and automate documentation, coding and task management afterward.
The company’s AI Scribe, Coding Assistant and Clinical Decision Support products have each been independently certified as Class IIa medical devices under the EU Medical Device Regulation. Tandem also holds certifications including ISO 27001, ISO 13485 and ISO 42001.
Peer-reviewed research cited by Tandem found that clinicians using the platform reported a 29% reduction in time spent on administrative work, a 30% improvement in job satisfaction and a 30% reduction in administrative stress.
Tandem has established offices across Germany, France, the U.K., Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark, Belgium, Portugal, Estonia and Lithuania.
The company also employs a clinician-led team that includes 100 in-house clinicians responsible for helping develop, tailor and deploy the platform across different European healthcare systems.
Tandem’s next phase will extend its technology beyond individual clinical encounters into broader clinic operations.
The planned Clinic Operating System is expected to support functions including patient triage, scheduling and patient communications while integrating more deeply with healthcare providers’ existing technology infrastructure.
Tandem is already integrated with more than 130 medical record systems across Europe.
The company sees an opportunity to build technology specifically around Europe’s healthcare systems, regulatory standards, data sovereignty requirements and individual national healthcare structures instead of adapting systems originally developed for other markets.
