TCS Acquires Coastal Cloud In $700 Million Deal

Tata Consultancy Services has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Coastal Cloud, a leading U.S.-based Salesforce consulting firm, in an all-cash transaction valued at $700 million, significantly expanding its global Salesforce advisory and consulting capabilities and strengthening its AI-led transformation strategy.

The acquisition involves the purchase of a 100 percent stake in Coastal Cloud, a Salesforce Summit Partner founded in 2012 that specializes in enterprise-scale, multi-cloud Salesforce implementations. With this deal, TCS will add more than 400 seasoned Salesforce professionals and over 3,000 multi-cloud certifications to its workforce, enhancing its ability to deliver AI-first, agent-driven transformation initiatives across industries worldwide.

Headquartered in the United States, Coastal Cloud brings deep expertise across Salesforce Sales, Service, Marketing, Revenue, CPQ, Commerce, and Salesforce Data Cloud, along with AI-led advisory and business consulting services. The firm has built long-standing relationships with enterprise and mid-market customers and holds seats on the Salesforce Partner Advisory Board, enabling it to influence product innovation and service development. Salesforce Ventures has been a strategic investor in Coastal Cloud.

This transaction builds on TCS’ October 2025 acquisition of ListEngage, another Salesforce Summit Partner known for its Agentforce, Marketing, and Commerce Cloud expertise. With both acquisitions combined, TCS expects to rank among the top five Salesforce advisory and consulting firms globally, expanding its reach across geographies, industry verticals, and customer segments, including the mid-market.

The addition of Coastal Cloud also strengthens TCS’ strategic presence in the United States, its largest global market, where the company has operated for more than five decades. The acquisition supports TCS’ broader mergers and acquisitions agenda aligned with its core priorities in artificial intelligence, cloud, cybersecurity, digital engineering, and enterprise solutions.

Coastal Cloud will continue to serve its existing customers while leveraging TCS’ global scale, advanced AI capabilities, and enterprise delivery infrastructure. The transaction remains subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals.
