TCW appointed Michael Chambers as a Managing Director in its Institutional Advisory Group, where he will work with institutional investors across the Southeastern U.S.
Chambers brings extensive experience advising institutional clients across both public and private markets.
He most recently worked at Oaktree, where he gained additional experience serving sophisticated investors across a range of investment strategies.
Earlier in his career, Chambers held roles at Morgan Stanley, Columbia Threadneedle, and Empower, building a broad background across asset management, institutional distribution, and client advisory.
At TCW, Chambers will focus on strengthening relationships with institutional investors throughout the Southeast and supporting clients as they evaluate opportunities across traditional and alternative asset classes.
His appointment expands TCW’s Americas Institutional Advisory capabilities and adds another senior professional to the firm’s institutional coverage team.
The move comes as pension plans, endowments, foundations, insurance companies, and other institutional investors continue reassessing portfolio construction amid changing market conditions and growing interest in private credit, alternatives, and other nontraditional strategies.
TCW’s Institutional Advisory Group works with investors across a range of asset classes and investment objectives.
Chambers’ experience across multiple firms and market segments is expected to support TCW’s efforts to deepen existing institutional relationships while developing new opportunities across the Southeastern U.S.
KEY QUOTES:
