Team Velocity: Foundation Direct Acquisition Combines Apollo Platform With Google-Pioneered Media Strategy

Team Velocity announced the acquisition of Foundation Direct, a digital agency founded by former Google automotive executives, in a move designed to combine elite media strategy capabilities with Team Velocity’s Apollo customer experience platform.

The acquisition expands Team Velocity’s digital advertising and customer experience offerings for automotive dealerships by integrating Foundation Direct’s expertise in search, social, and performance marketing with Apollo’s technology stack. Foundation Direct has leveraged the Apollo platform for years, making the transaction a natural extension of the company’s longstanding partnership.

As part of the transaction, Foundation Data, the analytics company behind the NCM Digital Performance Composite, will continue operating independently. The company standardizes dealership data to support benchmarking and AI applications across the automotive industry while maintaining objective measurement standards for dealers and partners.

The combined companies aim to provide dealerships with a more unified approach to digital advertising by integrating campaign strategy, audience activation, website experience, and attribution into a single ecosystem.

According to the announcement, the integration is expected to deliver several benefits, including:

  2. Expanded operational alignment, with Foundation Direct continuing to serve its existing client base while supporting Team Velocity’s digital advertising operations.
