Technology Management Concepts, a Microsoft-focused consulting firm based in El Segundo, California, has acquired The TM Group, an ERP and CRM consulting firm headquartered in Novi, Michigan. The deal adds additional depth in Microsoft ERP and CRM work and broadens Technology Management Concepts’ capabilities across Power Platform and cloud services, with an emphasis on supporting customers as they adopt modern data, automation, and AI solutions. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The combination brings together two long-standing Microsoft Applications specialists with decades of experience supporting core financial and operational systems. Technology Management Concepts said it plans to expand its bench by integrating The TM Group’s ERP expertise and customer relationships, positioning the combined organization to deliver broader Microsoft stack modernization programs that connect ERP, CRM, and Power Platform transformation with the underlying data, security, and cloud foundations needed for AI and automation.

Leadership framed the acquisition as part of a deliberate strategy to build a next-generation Microsoft partner model that blends governance, industry experience, and operational rigor with emerging competencies in data and reporting, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and AI. Over the next one to two years, the company expects to invest in strengthening governance and delivery consistency across engagements, add complementary services, and maintain what it describes as a boutique, highly engaged delivery approach rather than scaling into a large corporate consulting firm.

Technology Management Concepts was founded in 1987. The TM Group was founded in 1984.

KEY QUOTES

“This is the next step in the partnership I’ve been intentionally building toward. Our customers trust us with systems that run their businesses. In a world moving fast with AI and automation, that responsibility only grows. This combination gives us more depth, stronger governance, and a broader skillset—while keeping what makes us unique: we stay close, we stay accountable, and we care.”

“Our tagline—large enough to provide the expertise you need, small enough to care—has never been more true.” “My vision is to build a Microsoft partner that is both deeply responsible and deeply innovative. Our customers trust us with their financial and operational systems. In the age of AI and automation, that trust matters more than ever. We’re building a firm that can govern complexity, deliver real outcomes, and evolve with customers—without losing the human partnership model that made us successful.”

Jennifer Harris, CEO, Technology Management Concepts

“TMG has always been built on relationships and a long-term commitment to our customers. Joining TMC allows us to continue that legacy while giving our clients access to deeper Microsoft expertise and a larger team that can support where technology is going—not just where it’s been.”
