TechnoMile: Interview With Founder & CEO Ashish Khot About The Company Transforming Government Contracting

By Amit Chowdhry ● Nov 3, 2025

TechnoMile is a software company that provides cloud-based AI-powered solutions for businesses that sell to the government (federal, state, local), especially in the GovCon (government contracting), aerospace, and defense sectors. Pulse 2.0 interviewed TechnoMile founder and CEO Ashish Khot to gain a deeper understanding of the company.

Ashish Khot’s Background

Ashish Khot

Could you tell me more about your background? Khot said:

“I’ve spent more than two decades building and scaling technology companies. Before starting TechnoMile, I co-founded uKnow.com and Cruise.com, served on the executive team at buySAFE, and ran a consultancy that specialized in tailoring Salesforce CRM for federal contractors. This mix of entrepreneurial and technical experience gave me the perspective and motivation to start a company focused on creating software solutions for the unique challenges of doing business with the federal government.”

Formation Of The Company

How did the idea for TechnoMile come together? Khot shared:

“The spark for TechnoMile came from my work with federal contractors. I saw firsthand how much money companies were investing in software that wasn’t built for the unique needs of the government contracting space, and how little adoption and return they were getting as a result. The gap became clear to me: contractors needed industry-specific solutions that could help operationalize and inform their capture planning, streamline complex and highly regulated processes, reduce risk, and ultimately help them win more business. In 2014, I founded TechnoMile to close that gap with cloud-based, AI-enabled solutions tailored to the needs of GovCons and Aerospace and Defense companies.”

Favorite Memory

What has been your favorite memory working for TechnoMile so far? Khot reflected:

“I really love hosting Elevate, which is TechnoMile’s annual customer conference. It’s a fantastic event that brings our whole community together – clients, thought leaders in industry and government, partners, and our TechnoMile team. It’s a day full of insights into the latest industry dynamics and tech trends, exciting product announcements, customer success stories, hands-on learning with our technology, and valuable networking opportunities. Our conference always leaves me energized and excited to deliver more innovation to the government contracting community.”

Core Products

What are TechnoMile’s core products and features? Khot explained:

“Our platform spans the entire government contracting lifecycle, from helping companies identify best-fit opportunities to fill their pipeline through managing the contract closeout process – and everything in between. This includes solutions for business development, capture and proposal management, as well as contract lifecycle management, compliance, and risk mitigation. What sets our products apart is that they’re purpose-built for government contracting. They leverage AI agents and copilots powered by domain-trained AI as well as business intelligence to help companies accelerate pipeline development, execute captures, streamline contract management, and gain actionable insights. We integrate seamlessly with leading enterprise systems, and because of it, our tools enhance existing infrastructure instead of forcing companies into a new one.”

Challenges Faced

What challenges have Khot and the team faced in building the company? He acknowledged:

Government contracting is a fast-moving space, particularly when there’s a new presidential administration. Contractors are under pressure from government efficiency initiatives, rapid technology shifts, acquisition reform, ongoing M&A activity, and evolving compliance requirements. Now more than ever, they need transformative technologies but a big challenge is that many solutions in the market are generic or built for commercial use, leaving federal contractors trying to adopt software that wasn’t designed for them. We’ve overcome that by staying laser-focused on innovation for this sector, embedding AI into every stage of the lifecycle, and working hand-in-hand with customers so their challenges become ours to solve.”

Evolution Of The Company’s Technology

How has the company’s technology evolved since launching? Khot noted:

“Initially, with our Growth CRM, we focused on sales enablement and pipeline management to help contractors execute their pipeline to win more government contracts. We then saw an opportunity to help companies more effectively build and research their pipeline, which led to the launch of GovSearchAI, our federal market intelligence platform. From there, it was a natural fit to expand into equipping clients to better manage the federal contracts they’d won with an industry-specific CLM – contract lifecycle management – solution. Today, our platform delivers end-to-end automation, intelligence, and insight across the entire government contracting lifecycle. We’ve also advanced the technology itself, incorporating domain-trained AI agents and copilots and achieving FedRAMP Moderate Equivalency to support our clients’ compliance with highly stringent federal cybersecurity mandates.”

Customer Success Stories

When asking Khot about customer success stories, he highlighted:

“TechnoMile has established itself as a strategic growth enabler for government contractors, helping them modernize legacy systems and optimize operations using our platform. By streamlining business processes and unlocking cost efficiencies, our solutions have not only helped clients enhance service delivery to their federal customers but also helped them accelerate revenue growth and position for successful exits.”

Differentiation From The Competition

What differentiates TechnoMile from its competition? Khot affirmed:

“Our biggest differentiator is that we are purpose-built for government contracting. Unlike commercially-focused solutions built for B2B sales and contracting or niche providers that deliver just one piece of the puzzle, TechnoMile offers an end-to-end AI platform tailored to the unique complexities of government contracting. This enables seamless, efficient collaboration across the enterprise to win and perform contracts, improved ability to manage compliance and risk, and data-driven insights that help federal contractors stay competitive and drive growth.”

Future Goals

What are some of the company’s future goals? Khot concluded:

“Looking ahead, we’ll continue to expand our AI capabilities, building out additional AI agents and copilots that address industry-specific use cases and are delivered on a highly secure platform. Our focus is on helping government contractors gain speed, agility, and a competitive edge in an environment where policy, technology, and competition are all evolving nonstop. We’re also investing in our people-first culture, making TechnoMile a place where top talent can grow, innovate, and find purpose in supporting critical government missions through solutions that empower successful human-AI collaboration.”
