Teck Resources announced that Edwin Shadeo has been appointed Acting Vice President, Investor Relations and Treasurer, effective immediately.
Shadeo succeeds Emma Chapman, who is leaving Teck to pursue new professional opportunities.
Shadeo has served as Treasurer at Teck and has developed extensive relationships across the capital markets community. The company said his experience in investor relations and deep understanding of Teck’s business position him well to lead engagement with shareholders.
Shadeo joined Teck in 2005 as a Strategic Analyst, Business Development, Coal. Since then, he has held progressively senior and leadership roles across Investor Relations, Corporate Development, the Office of the President and CEO, and Treasury.
Shadeo holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of British Columbia. He also holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst and Certified Treasury Professional designations.
