TekStream announced it has acquired the cybersecurity business of ImagineX, bringing together advisory, governance, exposure management, and security operations capabilities under a unified digital resilience model.
The transaction includes ImagineX’s Cyber Strategy and Advisory, virtual Chief Information Security Officer (vCISO), Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC), Continuous Threat Exposure Management (CTEM), and Identity and Access Management (IAM) services. The move is designed to integrate these functions with TekStream’s Managed Detection and Response (MDR) capabilities, creating a single-provider model that connects board-level strategy directly with operational execution.
As part of the deal, ImagineX will retain its focus on software engineering, data, and AI services, while also entering into a strategic partnership with TekStream. Under this arrangement, both companies will collaborate to support clients across cybersecurity and broader digital transformation needs.
TekStream said the acquisition reflects a shift in how organizations must approach cybersecurity, emphasizing continuous, integrated resilience rather than fragmented point solutions. The combined platform is intended to unify governance, risk management, and real-time security operations into a single lifecycle spanning executive leadership through to the Security Operations Center.
The expanded offering includes capabilities such as cybersecurity assessment and risk roadmapping, embedded executive leadership through vCISO services, integrated GRC frameworks, CTEM programs for continuous risk reduction, IAM systems for access control and compliance, and always-on MDR services for detection and response.
The acquisition also brings experienced advisors, established frameworks, and industry partnerships into TekStream’s platform, enhancing its ability to support both enterprise and public sector clients with end-to-end cybersecurity services.
TekStream noted that the partnership with ImagineX will allow clients to access complementary expertise across cybersecurity, software engineering, data, and AI, while maintaining clear ownership and accountability across engagements.
KEY QUOTES:
“In an AI-driven threat landscape that never stops evolving, cybersecurity resilience must be treated as a continuous capability — not a one-time initiative. That requires more than tools or reports. It requires clear ownership. By combining MDR with embedded strategic governance and executive leadership, we connect boardroom intent directly to operational outcomes — transforming cybersecurity from a reactive cost center into a durable business capability.”
Rob Jansen, CEO, TekStream
“This acquisition reinforces a core belief we operate by every day: cybersecurity is compromised when strategy and execution are owned by different organizations. Boards guide strategy and monitor execution quarterly. Attackers move in minutes. Our model closes that gap. Strategy, governance, CTEM, IAM and MDR are not separate motions — they function as one continuously governed system. That’s how risk is actually reduced, not just reported.”
Taylor Morgan, Chief Solutions Officer, TekStream
“Joining TekStream allows us to expand delivery of our proactive security offerings to now cover end-to-end cybersecurity needs including Managed Detection & Response and Managed Security Services, services our current clients are expecting from a single partner. Our cultures are nearly identical. Together, we can now define the right cybersecurity strategy — and then govern, operationalize, and monitor it end to end through proven security operations that measurably reduce risk.”
Neel Sata, General Manager for Cybersecurity, ImagineX
