Teledyne Technologies has acquired DD-Scientific Holdings Limited and its subsidiary, DD-Scientific Limited, adding a U.K.-based gas-sensing specialist to its portfolio of environmental, industrial process, and gas- and flame-detection businesses.
Teledyne said DD-Scientific, founded in 2011 and headquartered in Fareham, United Kingdom, develops and manufactures high-performance gas sensors designed for accuracy-critical applications. Financial terms were not disclosed.
DD-Scientific produces electrochemical gas sensors used across a range of safety, healthcare, and environmental monitoring applications, including toxic gas detection for industrial safety, medical-grade sensors for healthcare settings, and trace gas sensors for ambient air quality and emissions monitoring tied to environmental compliance.
Teledyne positioned the deal as a technology and product-line complement to its existing sensor and instrumentation offerings, citing DD-Scientific’s lead-free electrochemical sensor technology as an addition to Teledyne’s broader range of sensors, optical gas imaging cameras, and instrumentation.
The company said the combined capabilities are expected to support customers across industries, including power generation, petrochemicals, semiconductors, and medical markets.
