Teleskope: $25 Million Raised To Advance Agentic Data Security Platform For The AI Era

New York-based Teleskope has raised $25 million in Series A funding to accelerate the adoption of its agentic data security platform designed to bring human-level intelligence to enterprise data protection. The round was led by M13 with continued participation from Primary Venture Partners and Lerer Hippeau, bringing the company’s total funding to $32.2 million. The funding will support product innovation, market expansion, and hiring across data science, engineering, and go-to-market teams.

Teleskope’s platform tackles one of the most pressing challenges enterprises face today: securing vast volumes of fragmented data as AI use expands. With nearly three-quarters of organizations identifying data security as their top barrier to AI adoption and ongoing resource constraints across security teams, traditional tools that rely on static pattern matching have proven insufficient.

The company’s platform introduces an autonomous, agentic approach to data security. By automatically discovering, classifying, and protecting sensitive information across cloud, SaaS, and hybrid environments, Teleskope acts like a human security team that operates continuously and intelligently.

And its proprietary multi-stage classification pipeline routes data through lightweight machine learning models and specialized AI engines that validate context before taking real-time remediation action. The platform also maps findings to regulatory frameworks, such as NIST, GDPR, and CIS, to maintain compliance and proactively mitigate risk.

In connection with the funding, Teleskope appointed Karl Alomar, Managing Partner at M13 and former COO of DigitalOcean, to its board of directors. Alomar’s experience scaling startups and building cloud infrastructure companies will guide Teleskope through its next stage of growth.

Teleskope’s technology has already gained adoption from clients including Ramp, LegalZoom, Alloy, GoFundMe, and The Atlantic. The company says it enables enterprises to operate securely and confidently as they integrate AI into their workflows.

KEY QUOTES:

“When I was a security engineer at Airbnb, I faced the challenge of cataloging and classifying hundreds of petabytes of data across dozens of platforms, and the tools we used simply couldn’t keep up. That experience showed me what was possible if we built a platform that thinks and acts like a human security team. With this new funding, we’re taking Teleskope to the next level: giving enterprises a fully agentic platform that can automatically detect, contextualize, and remediate risk, so they can confidently adopt AI and protect their data at scale.”

Elizabeth Nammour, CEO and Founder, Teleskope

“Teleskope has completely changed how we approach data security. We’re using it not just for comprehensive data security posture management, but also to manage data retention. For the first time, we have a platform that not only finds sensitive data across our systems but also understands context and takes action automatically. It feels like having a full data management team embedded in our environment, giving us confidence to innovate while keeping our data protected.”

Lock Langdon, Chief Information Security Officer, Aprio LLP

“AI is transforming the data and infrastructure environment that businesses live within, introducing new risks and increasingly sophisticated attacks. Teleskope fills a key component of controls needed to help secure sensitive data and does so with a far better user experience and remediation capabilities than anything else in the market. We could not be more excited about Lizzy, who combines deep technical expertise with strong business sensibility and has already built an impressive team and product. We believe Teleskope is uniquely positioned to become the category leader in agentic data security.”
