Temple University has introduced a fully branded donor-advised fund program through a new collaboration with Foundation Source and Charityvest. The program is designed to give alumni and supporters an expanded, flexible way to contribute to the university and other qualified charities.
The university’s donor-advised fund platform is powered by Foundation Source’s Turnkey DAF Program for Nonprofits in partnership with Charityvest as the sponsoring organization. The initiative establishes a charitable account in the Temple’s name, enabling donors to make tax-deductible contributions, invest assets for potential growth, and recommend grants to the university or other nonprofits on a timeline aligned with their philanthropic planning.
Donors will also be able to incorporate legacy-planning features, including naming Temple as a beneficiary or designating successors to carry out their charitable intentions. Beyond traditional contributions such as cash and securities, the program can accept more complex assets, including real estate, private equity holdings, and other appreciated assets, through Foundation Source’s digital platform.
Temple University sees this offering as an accessible option for alumni and friends who want to integrate financial and philanthropic goals while strengthening long-term support for the institution. Foundation Source and Charityvest view the initiative as part of a broader effort to provide universities and nonprofits with streamlined, modern philanthropic infrastructure capable of serving a large and diverse donor base.
