Teradyne, a provider of automated test equipment and advanced robotics, announced it has acquired TestInsight, a semiconductor test development and validation software company, to strengthen its design-to-test capabilities and accelerate time-to-market for AI and data center devices.
The acquisition expands Teradyne’s software portfolio by integrating TestInsight’s tools for pattern conversion, validation, and pre-silicon testing into its automated test equipment platforms. The combined offering is designed to streamline the transition from chip design to production testing, reducing debug cycles, improving test coverage, and enabling earlier readiness for complex semiconductor devices.
The deal comes as semiconductor manufacturers face increasing pressure from the growing complexity of AI-driven chips and shorter product lifecycles. By enhancing its design-to-test capabilities, Teradyne aims to help customers meet tight development timelines while maintaining high standards of quality and reliability.
TestInsight’s technology and team will play a key role in enabling faster ramp-up of test solutions, particularly for next-generation AI and data center applications. The company will continue to support existing customers across multiple automated test equipment platforms and maintain its partnerships within the broader semiconductor ecosystem.
The acquisition reinforces Teradyne’s strategy to deepen its leadership in semiconductor testing by providing integrated hardware and software solutions that address evolving industry demands.
