Terra Innovatum Targets Up To 8 MWe Of SOLO Nuclear Capacity For Data Centers In Argentina And Brazil

Terra Innovatum Global advanced an initial commercial pathway for up to 8 MWe of behind-the-meter SOLO micro-modular nuclear capacity supporting data-center facilities in Argentina and Brazil, providing one of the first quantified commercial deployment opportunities disclosed for its reactor platform.

The potential project connects Terra’s nuclear-development strategy directly to the growing electricity requirements of data centers. The company’s SOLO architecture is designed around modular 1 MWe units, allowing deployments to be scaled by adding individual reactor modules.

Terra says SOLO is intended to support behind-the-meter and off-grid power for data centers as well as remote grids and industrial applications. The platform has been engineered to work with LEU+ and HALEU fuel configurations and uses commercial off-the-shelf components as part of an effort to reduce supply-chain risk and improve cost predictability.

The Argentina and Brazil pathway remains part of Terra’s commercial-development work rather than an operating nuclear deployment. During and after Q2, the company also progressed engagement with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission and expanded manufacturing and supply-chain relationships intended to support first-of-a-kind deployment.

Terra ended Q2 with $91.1 million of cash and equivalents, giving the development-stage company a substantial capital base as it works toward licensing, supply-chain readiness and commercialization.

Quarterly operating expenses and operating loss were $6.1 million, consisting primarily of $4.6 million of general and administrative expense and $1.5 million of development costs. Net loss was $18 million, or $0.16 per share.

The difference between operating and net loss was primarily non-cash. Terra recorded $13.2 million of fair-value remeasurement expense associated with share-settled contingent and warrant liabilities.

KEY QUOTES:
