Tervis, a drinkware company founded in 1946, announced it has acquired Nashville-based Symglass, expanding its footprint in the drinkware market and broadening its product offerings.

The acquisition brings Symglass’s line of durable, crystal-clear drinkware into the Tervis portfolio. Symglass products are designed to mimic the appearance of traditional glass while offering enhanced durability, including resistance to breaking, cracking, and chipping. Its lineup includes stemless wine glasses, beer pint glasses, champagne flutes, and other drinkware suited for both indoor and outdoor use.

Following the deal, the Symglass brand will be integrated and repositioned as “Symglass by Tervis.” The existing Symglass website will redirect to a dedicated landing page on Tervis’s website during the transition.

Tervis plans to manufacture Symglass products through TMF Plastics at its Bradenton, Florida facility. Both Tervis and Symglass products are made from Tritan, an FDA-approved, BPA-free material.

Looking ahead, Tervis intends to expand the Symglass product line by introducing new designs and incorporating licensed products, aligning with its broader strategy to enhance the consumer drinking experience.

The acquisition represents the first major expansion under Roger Parsons, who was appointed president and chief revenue officer within the past year. Under his leadership, Tervis has pursued several growth initiatives, including retail expansion, licensing partnerships, and increased distribution channels. The company recently secured placement in more than 1,700 retail stores ahead of Memorial Day and became a licensed partner of America250.

Tervis, long known for its insulated drinkware and lifetime guarantee, continues to evolve its portfolio while maintaining its focus on durability, design, and functionality.
