TG0: £2 Million Raised From Netmind For Advancing AI-Based Human-Machine Interfaces

By Amit Chowdhry • Oct 1, 2024

NetMind, an AI-based solutions company focused on advancing the field of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI), announced its £2 million investment in TG0, a London-based developer of AI-powered human-machine interfaces. This funding was finalized in Q4 of 2023 (closing the round), but the two companies are announcing it in line with their strategic partnership. TG0 will be seeking a new round of investment later this year.

This investment was identified by NetMind’s in-house AI experts and research team, who work at the forefront of AI development. TG0 is accelerating the creation of customizable AI-embedded products that can adapt to a user’s physical needs in real time while being easily accessed via and powered by NetMind’s low-cost hardware and cloud computing platform.

With this financial funding, TG0 (whose clients include ZWIFT, Novares, Italdesign, Dashine, AIRBUS, and Futaba) will be able to rapidly scale their tech and product development (with products such as smart pressure sensing insoles and prosthetics). This investment catalyzes TG0’s ability to harness its patented technology to create touch-sensitive, pressure-responsive materials. These enable designers and manufacturers across various industries (including consumer electronics, automotive, healthcare, audio, gaming, and fitness) to reimagine their products, creating smarter and more sustainable solutions and user-centric experiences.

By collaborating with NetMind, TG0 will expedite the development of AI-embedded products that are fully customizable and capable of adapting to users’ needs in real-time. NetMind, too, will see its own AI solutions offered on the TG0 platform. TG0 and NetMind’s research and product teams will work together on co-developing AI solutions and combining their resources to advance AI research.

This deal will also bring NetMind and TG0 together with the top research minds from King’s College London and Imperial College London. And these two academic institutions will be integrating their research with TG0’s embedded machine learning expertise and NetMind’s FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Arrays) technology with the joint aim of pushing the boundaries of what’s currently possible in AI.

KEY QUOTES:

“With the £2 million investment, and access to NetMind’s state-of-the-art AI frameworks, we can’t wait to see what TG0 will do with their game-changing tech. As the physical and digital spaces increasingly collide, we believe at NetMind that TG0’s work will ensure that these vital technologies are as inclusive, accessible and powerful as possible.”
