The Access Group has acquired MaxOptra, a London-based route Optimization and delivery management platform used by more than 450 customers to optimise over 6,000 vehicles daily across 26 industry sectors, including food and beverage, construction, logistics, and waste management. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Founded in 2012 and operating from London with operations in Brighton, MaxOptra focuses on mid-market fleet operators managing distribution, service, and delivery operations. The platform combines AI-driven route planning with real-time vehicle tracking, electronic proof of delivery, and automated customer communications, aiming to reduce operating costs and improve on-time performance for fleets ranging from 10 vehicles to more than 200.
Access said the acquisition strengthens its Access ERP Specialised (Supply Chain & Logistics) portfolio, adding route Optimization capabilities that customers in waste management, distribution, and warehousing have identified as an operational priority. The company also identified opportunities to develop broader workflows spanning warehouse management, route planning, and business intelligence.
MaxOptra will also bring established integration partnerships with telematics and mapping providers, which Access said should help the platform work within customers’ existing fleet technology ecosystems.
The Access Group, one of the largest UK-headquartered business management software providers, said it serves more than 160,000 small and mid-sized organisations across Europe, the USA, and APAC and employs more than 9,000 people globally.
