The Bahnsen Group, a national wealth management firm managing more than $9.5 billion in assets, has announced the opening of a new office in Pittsburgh, marking its twelfth location across the United States. The expansion includes the hiring of financial advisor Grady Wirth, who will be based in the new office located in Cranberry Township’s Brush Creek Commons plaza.
The Pittsburgh office represents the firm’s continued geographic growth as it strengthens its presence in key wealth markets. The Bahnsen Group already operates offices in cities including Newport Beach, New York City, Austin, Dallas, Nashville, Phoenix, Minneapolis, Grand Rapids, and Bend.
Grady Wirth joins the firm from J.P. Morgan Wealth Management, where he most recently served as a financial advisor. Prior to that, he held a similar role at Hefren-Tillotson. In Pittsburgh, Wirth will lead the office and focus on expanding the firm’s client base and service offerings in western and central Pennsylvania.
The firm has also hired Sandie Sikora as Operations Associate for the new location, with additional financial planning and investment hires currently underway.
The Pittsburgh opening is the company’s second new office in 2026, following the launch of its Silicon Valley location earlier in the year. Unlike some previous expansions that involved relocating existing advisors, both the Silicon Valley and Pittsburgh offices were established with newly recruited talent.
Founded in 2015 as a lift-out from Morgan Stanley, The Bahnsen Group has grown significantly, increasing assets under management at an annual rate of 31% over the past eleven years. The firm now employs 97 team members across its national footprint and maintains a focus on dividend growth equity investing, alongside a strong emphasis on research and thought leadership.
KEY QUOTES:
“The western and central Pennsylvania market has long been an area of strong client interest for us. Not only is there a tremendous client base there already, but we are confident it will build into a significant market over time and so having a physical presence and putting resources and talent on the ground there was the logical next step.”
David L. Bahnsen, Managing Partner, The Bahnsen Group
“When I was offered the opportunity to establish and lead a new office for a nationally recognized wealth management practice in a city I love, I knew it was the most meaningful opportunity of my career. The Bahnsen Group is growing at a breathtaking pace and I look forward to expanding our presence and depth of services in the Pittsburgh area.”
