The Blackhawk Group has acquired Silver Sky Aviation, adding a sixth location to its Performance Center Network and extending its service footprint into Alaska. The acquired operation is based in Wasilla, Alaska, and will operate as a Blackhawk Performance Center. Terms were not disclosed.
TBG said the deal strengthens its presence in a fast-growing turboprop market where aircraft performance and reliability are critical due to harsh operating conditions. Alaska has seen increased turboprop activity because turbine-powered aircraft combine range, speed, and payload with reliability in cold-weather environments, the company said.
Silver Sky has supported turboprop operators for more than a decade and brings experience servicing platforms including King Air, Caravan, Kodiak, and PC-12 aircraft, including multiple Blackhawk and Finnoff performance conversions. TBG said Silver Sky will benefit from the broader organization’s partnerships, infrastructure, training, and operational resources to expand capabilities and reach across Alaska.
Silver Sky is also an Authorized Service Center for Caravan and Kodiak aircraft, which TBG said expands OEM-backed service and support options within its network. The Blackhawk Group is a portfolio company of New State Capital Partners.
