The Clorox Company announced it has completed its acquisition of GOJO Industries, the maker of the Purell brand, marking a significant expansion of its health and hygiene portfolio. The deal brings together two well-known players in cleaning and sanitation, combining Clorox’s consumer brand strength with GOJO’s leadership in professional and institutional hygiene solutions.

With the acquisition finalized, Clorox adds Purell and GOJO’s broader product suite to its lineup, strengthening its position across both consumer and business-to-business markets. The combined company aims to leverage complementary capabilities to deliver a broader range of hygiene products and drive long-term growth.

GOJO will now operate as Clorox Purell and will continue to be headquartered in Akron, Ohio. Its existing facilities in Ashland, Cuyahoga Falls, and Wooster will remain in place. Carey Jaros will lead the business as president, maintaining continuity while integrating into Clorox’s broader operations.

Clorox, headquartered in Oakland, California, has built a portfolio of household and lifestyle brands across cleaning, personal care, and wellness categories. The addition of GOJO enhances its reach into institutional hygiene, including healthcare and commercial environments, while reinforcing its mission to promote health and well-being.

The company expects the combination to unlock both near-term and long-term strategic value through expanded product offerings, increased scale, and enhanced innovation capabilities across its portfolio.
