The Cook & Boardman Group LLC, a provider of integrated access and security solutions, announced that its subsidiary has acquired substantially all of the assets of Assurance Media LLC, a systems integrator specializing in structured cabling, audiovisual systems, and premise security. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Founded in 2009 and headquartered in Wilmington, Delaware, Assurance Media serves customers across Delaware and Pennsylvania, with a focus on design and construction clients. The company has built its reputation on delivering customized solutions and strong customer service in the low-voltage and security integration space.
The acquisition supports Cook & Boardman’s ongoing nationwide expansion strategy, enhancing its ability to deliver comprehensive security, networking, and infrastructure solutions. Assurance Media will continue to operate under its existing name, and customer relationships will remain unchanged following the transaction.
Cook & Boardman, founded in 1955, offers a broad portfolio of products and services, including commercial doors, frames and hardware, electronic access control systems, and specialty building products. The company also provides systems integration services spanning physical security, wireless networking, low-voltage cabling, audiovisual systems, and managed IT solutions. Its network includes more than 80 locations across the United States, serving industries such as healthcare, education, government, hospitality, and industrial facilities.
The acquisition marks the seventeenth completed by Cook & Boardman since Platinum Equity acquired a majority stake in the company in 2023. Littlejohn & Co., LLC remains a significant minority investor.
