The Fifth Avenue Hotel has appointed Frank Pasqualino as Vice President of Sales, adding an executive with more than two decades of New York City hospitality experience as the independent luxury property enters its next phase of growth.
Pasqualino will oversee the hotel’s commercial sales strategy and support the continued development of Flâneur, the parent company of The Fifth Avenue Hotel.
He joins after holding executive leadership positions at The Standard Hotels, including The Standard, East Village and The Standard, High Line.
His career spans luxury, lifestyle, and branded hospitality and includes experience across sales strategy, key account development, catering, marketing, business travel, luxury leisure, group sales, and hotel openings.
Earlier in his career, Pasqualino held senior sales positions with Morgans Hotel Group.
At The Fifth Avenue Hotel, he will be responsible for expanding relationships across leisure, corporate, travel advisor, group, and other commercial channels while supporting the hotel’s broader revenue strategy.
The appointment comes as the property continues establishing itself within New York’s independent luxury hotel market.
Located at Fifth Avenue and 28th Street, the hotel combines a restored 1907 palazzo designed by McKim, Mead & White with a contemporary 24-story tower.
The property serves as Flâneur’s flagship hotel.
Flâneur describes its hospitality philosophy as “magical luxury,” emphasizing personal service, design, curiosity, discovery, and individualized guest experiences.
The Fifth Avenue Hotel has received several recent hospitality industry distinctions.
The property has retained Two MICHELIN Key status for three consecutive years.
It was also named the American Express Travel One to Watch Award winner as part of The World’s 50 Best Hotels 2026.
Pasqualino’s appointment is intended to support the hotel’s next stage of commercial development while maintaining its positioning in the independent luxury segment.
His experience at The Standard Hotels and Morgans Hotel Group gives him a background working with properties where brand identity, design, nightlife, food and beverage, and guest experience can play significant roles alongside traditional room sales.
The Fifth Avenue Hotel’s sales organization will also need to balance different customer segments, including luxury leisure travelers, corporate clients, groups, travel advisors, and international visitors.
Pasqualino’s responsibilities will involve coordinating those channels with the property’s wider commercial and revenue strategy.
The appointment also supports Flâneur’s development beyond its flagship hotel as the company expands its approach to independent luxury hospitality.
Pasqualino earned a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management from Johnson & Wales University.
He has also emphasized mentoring younger hospitality professionals as part of his industry involvement.
