The Light Park, an operator of large-scale drive-thru holiday light attractions, has acquired Holiday Supply Shop, a walk-thru holiday light park operator founded by live events veteran Matt Thompson.
The deal adds a proven pedestrian-focused operating platform and deep experience producing holiday events in stadiums and large-venue environments, positioning The Light Park to broaden its footprint beyond drive-thru attractions.
Holiday Supply Shop is known for turnkey walk-through holiday light experiences supported by in-house custom design, creative, logistics, and operations. Thompson brings more than 20 years of live event operations experience, including leadership roles in minor league baseball and venue-based entertainment, and experience executing events within active sports facilities while meeting operational, safety, and guest experience standards.
In 2025, Thompson oversaw six walk-through holiday light parks across multiple U.S. markets that collectively served hundreds of thousands of guests in stadium and large venue settings. The Light Park said the combination strengthens its operational capabilities and expands the range of venues it can support over time, including pedestrian-focused and stadium-based holiday experiences.
The Light Park currently operates nine drive-thru holiday light parks across Texas and partners with municipalities and venue operators to deliver high-capacity seasonal events. Following the acquisition, Thompson will continue to lead walk-through holiday park operations and will play a central role in developing The Light Park’s stadium and venue-based offerings. The Light Park is backed by Guideboat Capital.
