Thomson Reuters announced it has acquired Noetica, a New York–based AI-native startup founded in 2022 that converts transaction deal data into structured market intelligence for deal professionals.

Thomson Reuters said Noetica’s platform supports secure, single-tenant deployments of transaction deal data and offers tools such as qualitative and quantitative benchmarking, natural-language term search, term-trend analysis, and deal-level risk signals. The company said these capabilities are designed to help practitioners assess what terms are market standard during negotiations and improve decision-making across transaction workflows.

The company said it intends to integrate Noetica’s analytics and structured market intelligence into CoCounsel’s AI technology to help deal professionals benchmark key terms during negotiations, assist with legal drafting, and provide deeper transaction data analysis throughout the deal workflow.

Thomson Reuters also said the acquisition adds AI talent to its organization, including AI scientists, PhDs, and legal and finance experts, while expanding vertical AI capabilities for transactional markets. Thomson Reuters Ventures, the company’s enterprise technology venture fund, was an early investor in Noetica’s Series A, according to the announcement.

Noetica said its technology provides secure, single-tenant deployments and real-time search and semantic analysis across more than 1.5 billion terms, aimed at helping legal and financial professionals streamline transaction work with high accuracy.
