Threadlock Precision, a U.S.-based network of precision manufacturing companies, has acquired Kremin Inc., a Michigan CNC machining business serving aerospace, defense and medical customers for more than 40 years.
Kremin, based in Frankenmuth, Michigan, was founded in 1983 and initially focused on manufacturing fixture and gage assemblies before expanding into a broader prototyping, production and assembly operation. The company has been owned by President Mike Grossi since 2010 and has continued to invest in new equipment, building out capabilities that include a dedicated Swiss machining segment as well as milling and turning departments.
Threadlock Precision said the deal advances its strategy to build a preferred precision manufacturing network for aerospace and defense customers. The company added that Kremin’s strengths in custom, tight-tolerance work—particularly its Swiss machining capabilities—will expand the network’s ability to support a wider range of customer programs.
The companies said Kremin will continue to focus on solving complex manufacturing challenges while gaining access to Threadlock Precision’s resources and investment to modernize and scale. Kremin is certified to AS9100D and also performs milling of complex aerospace components and electrical assemblies for the dimensional stone industry.
Threadlock Precision said it is backed by the D. E. Shaw group and that its leadership team blends operational expertise and investment capabilities to help network companies strengthen their positions across aerospace, defense and industrial markets.
